Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) on Thursday, December 09 conducts ISC Political Science paper for the registered students. The OMR-sheet-based paper is held successfully from 02:00 pm to 3:30 pm for over 1 lakh registered students at all designated centers. The council conducted the ISC Political Science paper following the social distancing and COVID-19 protocols. Based on the reports, ISC (Class XII) Political Science paper is held successfully in the 2nd sitting, from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm. The question paper along with the OMR sheet was disbursed among the students at 1:50 pm. The candidates were strictly instructed to follow the guidelines issued through the admit card.
Based on the feedback received from the students, the difficulty level of the paper was average. However, some of the questions were tricky. “The paper was on the same pattern as derived in the Specimen paper and no calculative question was asked in the paper”, a student told the team after the examination.
As per the proposed ISC Class 12 Political Science paper pattern, the exam is of 80 marks. The paper was divided into 3 sections- Section A, B, and C. As many as 80 questions are asked in the examination. Questions are derived from Unit 1 to 5 i.e. Forms of Government, Constitution, Franchise, The Legislature, and The Executive. According to the bifurcated syllabus, the rest of the units (units 6 to 10) will be asked in the semester 2 exams.

Next, the council will display the official answer key on its website i.e. cisce.org, only after the board exams are over. The answer keys for the ISC Political Science 1st semester paper will help candidates to get a rough idea of their performance and expected score in the exam.
Ahead of the display, candidates may go through the unofficial key, provided by different educators including Shoaib Alam, Tuition ICSE Online, and Doubtnut on Youtube. Students may compare their answers with the solutions provided to get a rough idea of their marks.
Note- The paper analysis will be uploaded once the educators begin the same after getting the feedback from the students after 3:30 pm. Hence, the students are advised to keep a regular check at the website for announcements.
