It’s a matter of when, not if, Damian Lillard is traded away from the Portland Trail Blazers.
Lillard wants to be traded to the Miami Heat, to the point where his agent Aaron Goodwin is reportedly “warning” other teams not to make offers for the perennial All-Star guard.
However, the Trail Blazers still have not received a suitable enough offer from the Heat, so we’ve got a bit of a stalemate on our hands, one that could last a while, according to Portland general manager Joe Cronin.
Cronin told reporters Monday that if a Lillard trade “takes months, it takes months.”

Considering Portland reportedly wants four first-round picks and two quality players in return for Lillard, Cronin’s comments seem to be on point.
We’re expecting Dame to wind up in South Beach when all is said and done. It just might take some more weeks (or months) of rumors until it actually happens.
