Italian startup Aehra has stepped away from the folds and creases of the modern car industry for a curvaceous electric hypercar with up to 800km of EV range, slated to reach production alongside its SUV sibling in 2026.
Designed with one single silhouette line by former Lamborghini design boss Felippo Perini, the Aehra sedan builds on the design cues of the Aehra SUV, launched late last year.
Making its debut at the Milano Motor Show today, the Aehra sedan shares its platform with the seven-seat SUV, along with its Miba Battery Systems battery pack.
“The debut of the Aehra sedan, just eight months after we revealed our first SUV moden and the recent announcement of our partnership with Miba Battery Systems, confirms that Aehra remains firmly on track in its strategic mission to deliver a step-change in the design, customer and ownership experience of ultra-premium electric vehicles,” Aehra co-founder, Chairman and CEO Hazim Nada said.
“And when the final production variants take to the road, they will look virtually identical to the models we have revealed, ensuring no compromise on our promise to combine an extraordinary driving and ownership experience with exceptional design and technology.”
Aehra plans to launch in North America and Europe in 2026, with China and the Middle East set to follow shortly after.
Using the Austrian cells, Aehra has created a long, sleek, gorgeously proportioned supercar sedan – but does not yet have anywhere to build it.
It draws heavily on light-weight technologies, with its body made from carbon-fibre and much of its chassis rooted in forged carbon-fibre, giving it the technical freedom to use gullwing doors for both the front and the rear seats.
“With the Aehra sedan, we have the boldness to go even further and fully exploit the exceptional design freedom born out of our founder Hazim Nada’s philosophy and vision, and Aehra’s ground-breaking use of only the most advanced technologies that the global automotive and aeronautic industries have to offer,” Perini said.
“The design of the Aehra sedan is inspired by numerous sources. In Italy, the influence of art and architecture is all around us, and beauty is all around us; a beauty that stems from purity of expression and aesthetic functionality.
“The passion and discipline for the pursuit of perfect proportions are evident in every line and detail of the Aehra sedan.
“It adheres to Aehra’s doctrine that form must always follow function; the sedan is the anthese to baroque design culture, devoid of unnecessary adornments, yet alive with emotion.”
