IVE Goes Double Platinum For 1st Time With “LOVE DIVE”; Red Velvet, MONSTA X, And Heize Earn Gaon Platinum Certifications

Gaon Chart has announced its latest batch of official certifications!

In 2018, the Korea Music Content Industry Association implemented a new certification system for album sales, song downloads, and online streaming. Starting with music released on or after January 1, 2018, Gaon Chart now certifies albums platinum once they reach 250,000 sales, while songs receive a platinum certification at 100 million streams or 2.5 million downloads.

On June 9, Gaon Chart announced that IVE had earned their first-ever official double platinum certification for their latest single album “LOVE DIVE,” which has sold over 500,000 copies since its release in April.

Meanwhile, Red Velvet’s 2019 repackaged album “The ReVe Festival: Finale,” Red Velvet – Irene & Seulgi’s 2020 mini album “Monster,” and MONSTA X’s latest mini album “SHAPE of LOVE” were all certified platinum after selling over 250,000 copies each.

Finally, Heize’s hit song “HAPPEN” received an official platinum certification in the streaming category after surpassing 100 million streams.

Congratulations to all of the artists on their impressive achievements!
