J.J. Redick and Chris ‘Mad Dog’ Russo don’t see eye-to-eye when it comes to the current state of the NBA. That’s abundantly clear every single time they’re both on ESPN’s “First Take.”
During this Tuesday’s episode of the popular debate show, Russo had an interesting reaction to the Nuggets capturing their first NBA championship.
Russo said this year’s version of the Nuggets would get swept by the ’86 Celtics.
“The ’86 Celtics would beat this team in four games,” Russo said. “This is a good team. This is not an all-time team. But Jokic is an all-time player.”
Redick immediately dropped his dead in disapproval.
.@MadDogUnleashed says this is NOT an all-time great Nuggets team ????

Redick and Russo have argued countless times about the ’86 Celtics. It’s only fitting they ended the NBA season with one more debate about Larry Bird’s former squad.
While the Nuggets may not be an all-time great team in the eyes of many, diminishing their accomplishments less than 24 hours after they defeated the Heat seems unfair.
