J.Lo Just Wore the Naked Version of 2023’s Most-Wanted Platforms

J.Lo Just Wore the Naked Version of 2023’s Most-Wanted Platforms

If we had to zero in on just one wardrobe item that Jennifer Lopez favors most, it would have to be platforms—and not just any platforms. The 5’5” singer and actress has long frequented sky-high pairs of lifted heels, rarely choosing shoes without a platform, let alone flats. But of all the pairs in her collection, the ones she debuted in an Instagram slideshow this weekend are by far the most impressive.

In the photos, which were taken on the set of a shoot for her pre-made cocktails brand Delola, Lopez is showing off a neutral outfit by Brunello Cucinelli, a tote bag from Yuzefi, and the 2023 version of Cinderella’s glass slippers: 6″ Valentino platforms made almost entirely of clear plexiglass and polymer. The $1700+ pumps are new, though you might recognize the shape as they have been one of the year’s most popular. Valentino’s Tan-Go platforms, which debuted at the brand’s hot-pink fall/winter 2022 show, have already been spotted on everyone from Anne Hathaway to Zendaya, not to mention Blake Lively, Florence Pugh, and Dua Lipa. Leave it to J.Lo, though, to be among the first to debut the latest version that gives a whole new meaning to the naked-shoe trend.
