It doesn’t look good for Ja Morant in terms of his playing status for Game 2 against the Los Angeles Lakers.
He spoke after the Grizzlies’ Game 1 loss over the Lakers and said that his status is “in jeopardy.”
“Feels like it’s one thing after another,” Morant said, via ESPN’s Tim MacMahon.
Ja Morant says his status for Game 2 is “in jeopardy.” He was downtrodden and not even able to use his right hand to undo a balled-up pair of socks. “Feels like it’s one thing after another.”

Morant played 30 minutes in Game 1 on Sunday and finished with 18 points, six rebounds, and two assists. With him on the sideline, the Lakers pulled away in the fourth quarter for a 16-point win.
If Morant isn’t able to go, the Grizzlies would be up the proverbial creek since they’re already down by a game in this series. He’s their best player and has been all season.
Game 2 is scheduled for Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. ET, so Morant will have three days of rest. Hopefully, his latest injury will be a bit better by then.
