Jack Ryan original star Wendell Pierce earned himself a nickname while on the set of the action spy series.
The John Krasinski-led drama is coming to an end with season four marked as the final outing on Amazon Prime Video.
Alongside the former The Office US actor, Wendell Pierce has been by Ryan’s side as Agent James Greer from the very beginning.
Naturally, the stars and production team get to know one another very well when they are travelling and filming the series.
And Pierce admitted to press, including Express.co.uk, that he earned a nickname from the cast and crew as a result.
When initially asked what his favourite place to have visited while shooting Jack Ryan, Pierce struggled to answer.
“That is so tough, I have wanderlust and I love to travel,” he said.
“They called me the Wizard on the show, because I was finding all these interesting things to do.
“‘I met a guy who is going to bring in…at midnight and have a stockside seafood feast under candlelight, which I did in Essaouira, Morocco.”
Pierce continued: “That was one of the memorable nights by myself, I couldn’t get those guys out.
“I did an overnight in the Sahara Desert, I did a trek in the woods of Slovakia, beautiful, absolutely beautiful.
“So it’s not just one place, it’s a multitude of places but those are three that stick out.”
The 59-year-old also had plenty of praise for the creators behind the cameras who were able to bring the drama to life from anywhere in the world.
Pierce added: “The producers did a hell of a job and had a massive, massive job to do, the logistics were just amazing.
“It’s a military operation, literally, because logistics with the militaries from different parts of the different countries, co-ordinating with them, that was massive.
“We just get to reap the benefits and come on the set and do our jobs of acting, it was great.”
