Jacqueline Fernandez pays obeisance at Vaishno Devi Shrine

Actress Jacqueline Fernandez began the New Year by paying obeisance at Mata Vaishno Devi shrine on January 4. According to reports, she reached Katra early morning, following which she went to the Bhawan on foot and paid obeisance at the shrine. Jacqueline was last seen in Rohit Shetty`s Ranveer Singh-starrer Cirkus, that proved to be a flop at the box-office.

Jacqueline Fernandez has been named as an accused in the extortion case to the tune of Rs 215 crore involving alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar. In December, actor Nora Fatehi had filed a defamation case against Jacqueline, alleging that the latter made defamatory allegations against her for malicious reasons. According to Fatehi, Fernandez sought to criminally defame her in order to destroy her career to further her own interests, since they are both working in the same industry and have similar backgrounds, amongst other reasons. Both Fernandez and Fatehi had recorded their statement as witness in the case.
