Jake Paul has urged Conor McGregor to stop drinking amid concerns that the UFC legend’s life is “falling apart”.

McGregor has vowed to quit drinking at his Dublin pub The Black Forge Inn once he begins training for his UFC return, but fans have expressed concerns about the Irishman.

And Paul, who is still angling for a blockbuster crossover fight with McGregor, has told the Irishman to quit alcohol and get back to training, so that he can get back to winning ways.

McGregor is expected to return this summer after suffering a broken leg against Dustin Poirier in their trilogy bout, and is 1-3 in his last four fights.

And Paul has said that his main concern with the former two-weight world champion is that he get fit enough for their fight to eventually happen.

“I don’t give a s*** about Conor,” Paul told Mirror Fighting at a press conference today for the Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano fight which he and Eddie Hearn are co-promoting.

Jake Paul has told Conor McGregor he needs to quit drinking

“I just want to fight him and smack him in the head – in that sense I hope that he can win some fights so that we can actually fight.

“But the guy is a grown-a** man, he needs to figure out his life; it seems to be falling apart from what I can tell.”

Paul understands better than most that things can look very different through a social media post than their reality.

But he believes that the Irishman must give up drinking in an effort to fix one of many issues which have emerged for him in recent years.

“Obviously, everything’s through a lens, we don’t know what he’s going through actually,” Paul added, before saying that he should “for sure” stop drinking.

“That’s clearly one of his many problems – he needs to get in the gym and drink calcium because his bones are f***ing breaking.”

McGregor has essentially kept quiet during Paul’s rise as the YouTuber needled him in the hopes of securing a mega-money fight.

The YouTube star has mocked McGregor in a number of ways through social media posts, lyrics in a diss track and even a diamond chain that cost in the six-figures

But ultimately, it has drawn next to no reaction from McGregor, who has never ruled out a future fight with either Jake or his older brother Logan.

He told News AU earlier this year that he would “never say never” to a possible fight, but branded the social media star brothers “dingbats”.

“I couldn’t care about them two dingbats,” he said back in July, before adding of them as possible opponents: “I don’t see so, but never say never.

“If they’re going to keep competing and whatnot, who knows?

“But, dingbats, the two of them.”

Paul has teased a potential move into the MMA cage this year, but seems keen on making the McGregor fight happen in the boxing ring, where he is 5-0 as a professional with four knockouts.
