Jake Paul v Tommy Fury: Tale of the tape
Jake Paul has praised three areas of Tommy Fury ‘s game but also listed two of his weaknesses ahead of their fight next month.
Paul and Fury are set to meet over eight rounds in a 192lb catchweight fight on December 18 in Miami, Florida.
Fury missed his first press conference to promote the fight last weekend due to a family emergency, but dialled in to the second conference on Monday.
The Brit has boasted about winning the “lottery” by fighting Paul and begged his rival not to pull out of the fight.
And Paul thinks whilst Fury does have skills in his hands, he can’t fight on the back foot.
“I don’t really think Tommy has a style. He’s just a green guy, he has no head movement, he can’t fight going backwards,” he told Fight Hype.

“He’s got fast hands. He’s got good combinations, he’s got a good jab, but that’s about it. We’re going to take all that way and expose him.”
Paul and Fury both fought on the same card in August, with Paul outpointing former UFC star Tyron Woodley and Fury edging past his rival’s sparring partner Anthony Taylor in a sloppy display.
The upcoming fight will mark Fury’s fourth of the calendar year and his second on US soil.
Paul has fought three times in the past year, stopping former NBA star Nate Robinson and now-retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren before defeating Woodley.
The internet star is an underdog as he prepares for his first fight against a fighter with several ring appearances under their belt.
But Paul said he relishes the opportunity to overcome the odds.
“I love being the underdog. It’s exciting. Finally my friends who have been placing bets on me this whole entire time can get an even bigger bag, because they’ve been right every single time,” he added.
“One of my friends right here actually has been betting money on me every single fight and he’s about to buy a Lamborghini from it.

“Being an underdog, the odds are even better and it motivates me. I’ve always been an underdog, always been an uphill battle people have always counted me out.
“I’m gonna prove everyone wrong.”
Fury has gone the distance three times in his seven professional fights, stopping his other opponents inside two rounds.
And Paul predicts he will stop Fury – who has never been past four rounds – in the later rounds of their fight.
“Tommy Fury hasn’t been tested so we will see how he responds. That’s the beautiful thing about this fight is the unknown,” he said at the press conference.
“Is he actually a Fury? Or will we find out that he’s just a half Fury. Does he have the heart like his brother, or is he just living in the shadow of his brother?”
