Jake Paul confirms Tommy Fury has pulled out of December fight

Jake Paul has played down a fight with Bryce Hall after the TikTok star recently called him out.

Paul has become the most talked-about name in boxing since ditching his internet fame to devote his future to the sport.

The 24-year-old started out by fighting fellow YouTubers such as Deji and AnEsonGib, but has since expressed his desire to fight “actual boxers”.

He was scheduled to fight fellow celebrity Tommy Fury on December 18, but the Love Island star pulled out of the fight earlier this week with a bacterial infection and broken rib.

And Paul – who has hopes of winning a world title in boxing- said he is past fighting TikToker’s such as Hall.

“Stop, stop. Next thing bro. We are not going into that type of s*** here bro. You know, there’s levels to this s*** and I passed that level a long time ago,” he said on the Impaulsive podcast.

“I’m not going down there. I’m not going down the LA route bro.”

Hall has never fought professionally, competing in just one white-collar fight when he was knocked out by YouTube star Austin McBroom in June.

And Hall said that although he would take a fight with Paul, he would probably get knocked out.

“I’ve never been knocked out in my life, and I think Jake would actually knock me the f*** out,” he admitted on Barstool Sports ‘ Walk the Line podcast.

“Price point? If Jake offered that s***, I mean, I’m in there. I would get knocked out, but I would f****** go in there.”

“Logan, I feel I have a way better chance against. But both are just very large men. 6’4 in person. I’m f***** 5’10, I’m looking up at this guy.”

Paul will rematch former UFC champion Tyron Woodley – who he outpointed in August – after he filled in on less than two weeks notice for the injured Fury.

He will hope to top off a successful 2021 campaign that has already seen him win fights against Ben Askren and Woodley.

And Paul recently explained why having so many critics in boxing is a huge motivation.

“It’s high risk, high reward. Everyone wants to see me lose for the most part and that pressure, it motivates me every single day in training camp,” he told Gareth A Davies.

“After my first professional fight with Gib, after I knocked him out I knew this was something that I wanted to do.

“I fell in love with it, I caught the boxing bug. The rest was history, the stars aligned and I haven’t looked back since.”
