Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva fight could be cancelled after ‘KO’ claim

The sensational boxing bout between Jake Paul and Anderson Silva could be cancelled after the Brazilian stated he had been knocked out twice in sparring. Silva and YouTuber-turned-prizefighter Paul are currently scheduled to clash on October 29 in Arizona.

Paul has been focused on a boxing showdown with UFC icon Anderson Silva next Saturday in one of the most difficult encounters of his career to date. With an unbeaten 5-0 record, the YouTuber is naturally confident he will defeat Silva.

However, it appears the fight could be in doubt. According to reports in America, the Arizona Commission is set to hold a meeting on Thursday night to decide whether or not to allow the fight to go ahead on Saturday.

This is due to quotes from Silva, who has since insisted he ‘misspoke’ when he revealed he had been knocked out twice in sparring ahead of the fight. The 47-year-old – arguably the greater mixed martial arts fighter to ever grace a cage – last competed under the UFC banner in October 2020 where he fell to Uriah Hall via TKO.
