Jake Paul v Tommy Fury: Tale of the tape

Tickets for Jake Paul ‘s clash with Tommy Fury next month have been released with ringside seats costing up to $2,500.

Paul and Fury will fight on December 18 at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida over eight rounds at a catchweight of 192lbs.

Internet sensation Paul is undefeated in four fights since turning professional last year while Fury has an unblemished 7-0 record.

Paul defeated fellow YouTube star AnEsonGib on his debut, former basketball player Nate Robinson and now-retired MMA fighters in Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley.

Tickets for Paul’s fight with Woodley in August started at $10, with several VIP packages also costing up to $500.

Paul predicts he will stop Fury in the later rounds of their fight, whilst the Brit thinks he will get the job done inside two rounds.

And the American explained why his fight with Fury is a “perfect match-up”.

“Tommy Fury hasn’t been tested so we will see how he responds. That’s the beautiful thing about this fight is the unknown,” he said at Monday’s press conference.

“Is he actually a Fury? Or will we find out that he’s just a half Fury. Does he have the heart like his brother, or is he just living in the shadow of his brother?”

“This is also my first time fighting a ‘real boxer’. He’s undefeated, young, same age, same height and weight. So it’s really a perfect matchup.”

Fury turned professional in 2018 and has since won seven fights.

The Love Island star has reached the judges three times so far, but has never been past the fourth round.

He last fought on the undercard of Paul vs Woodley, outpointing his rival’s sparring partner Anthony Taylor in a dull display.

And Fury – who is being trained by his brother WBC heavyweight champion Tyson – thinks Paul will be in for a “big shock” on December 18.

“I took this away from his fight with Tyron Woodley. The man got a split-decision win. That means you only just won against a 40-year-old retired UFC fighter,” he said.

“My god, well done. Good job, mate. You just about beat a 40-year-old man. When you get in there with a fresh 22-year-old whose been doing this all his life, you’re going to wish you stuck to paying UFC fighters off and basketball players.

“You should have gone and fought Tiger Woods, not somebody who has done it his whole life because you’re in for a big shock. You’re the one who is going to crumble.”
