Jake Paul looks to continue his unbeaten run as a professional boxer tonight when he fights a familiar face in former UFC champion Tyron Woodley.
After winning fights against Ben Askren and Woodley in 2021, Paul set up a highly anticipated fight against fellow celebrity Tommy Fury for December 18.
But less than two weeks before their clash, Fury pulled out of the fight with a bacterial infection and broken rib which led to Woodley stepping in.
Woodley has vowed to correct the mistakes he made from their first meeting and put an end to Paul’s newfound boxing career.
There were talks of bad officiating and a ‘no-knockout clause’ after their first meeting, so let’s look at the rules and regulations of their rematch…
1. Rounds
Much like their first meeting, the fight will take place over eight rounds.
Each round will be three minutes long with one minute of rest in between.
This is commonplace for professional boxing fights but some YouTube or exhibition bouts are held over two-minute rounds.
And in women’s boxing, including world title fights, rounds are also two minutes in length.

2. Weight
Both men were required to weigh in under the catchweight limit of the fight, which is 192lbs.
Paul weighed 190lbs for the first clash whilst Woodley came in at 189.5lbs.
BJ Flores – the head trainer of Paul – had expected his charge to weigh-in at a career lightest but he actually came in one pound heavier while Woodley was the same weight as last time
3. Gloves
It’s expected that Woodley will not be allowed to wear Grant gloves for the fight, the same brand Paul permitted him from using in their first fight.
Paul wore custom-made Grant gloves – which provide more padding around the wrist – for their first fight, whilst Woodley opted for Everlast gloves.
Paul has also said he will walk to the ring wearing a pair of $1.2million shorts

4. Contract clauses
Woodley has confirmed there is a rematch clause if he is to win the rematch, which could set up a potential trilogy fight between the pair.
But a third fight would likely be dead and buried if Paul is to secure his second win against the former UFC champion.
Woodley can also pocket an extra $500,000 for a knockout clause placed in his contract by Paul.
5. Judges/Referee
The officials all come from the Florida area with Chris Young the third man in the ring when the action starts,
Should the rematch go the same way as the first fight, the judges responsible for scoring the bout after eight rounds will be Efrain Lebron, James O’Connor and Michael Ross.
