Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley show respect after rematch
Jake Paul held back on posting a vicious put-down to undisputed middleweight champion Claressa Shields during their social media war of words earlier this year.
The YouTube star’s management made the claim that Shields’ team had asked to feature on his undercard before later publicly saying she would do no such thing.
And Shields hit back, threatening to sue Paul for defamation of character in a tongue-in-cheek tweet towards the social media star.
“Never have I ever,” Shields said in a tweet on December 10 after Paul’s manager said she had expressed an interest in sharing the card with the YouTube star.
“I’m bout to sue Jake Paul and his team for defamation of character cause I ain’t never asked to be on no undercard of no YouTuber!”
And in a recent episode of his brother Logan’s podcast Impaulsive, the unbeaten boxer dove into his Twitter drafts, which are tweets that users opted not to send after typing them.

He noted that he had prepared a message for Shields, although her name was bleeped out on the show for unknown reasons.
“You should sue your parents for giving birth to you,” the vicious clap back would have read, although he opted never to send the tweet.
Instead, Paul’s promotional company Most Valuable Promotions responded on the day by teasing that Shields had looked to join him on his April 17 card, where he fought Ben Askren.
That event ultimately featured former world champions Regis Prograis and Steve Cunningham, as well as ex-UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir.
“Shiver us timbers,” the promotional company’s tweet said.
“The self anointed GWOAT [Greatest Woman Of All Time] is going to sue Jake Paul and BAVAFA Sports… yikes.
“Sounds like she has a good case? Or does she… #April17.”
Paul and Shields have been going back-and-forth since the two-time Olympic gold medalist took issue with a suggestion that she could appear on one of his cards at a press conference back in September.
She has mocked the YouTube star and insisted she could beat him in a sparring session using just one hand.

“I know it’s too much to fight him because it would be too embarrassing [for him],” she told Sky Sports the following month. “But if I were to spar Jake, I could use one hand.
“Just my jab – I would out-jab, out-hook and out-uppercut him. I would embarrass him.”
And when she lost her sophomore MMA outing to Abigail Montes in the PFL, Paul branded her defeat “karma”, and slammed Shields as a “loser”.
“The truth hurts but it’s necessary,” Paul said in a lengthy social media post. “Claressa Shields is a loser.
“In MMA, and even more so with her prima donna attitude. The fake always get exposed.
“Losses come when anger and hate take over – just ask Rousey and McGregor.
“She spent more time berating Jake Paul than learning Jiu Jitsu, she’s never been a big draw and unfortunately for her she never will be.”
