Philadelphia 76ers All-Star James Harden made it known he wants out this offseason and that remains the case.
After exercising his player option for next season, Harden reportedly wants to join the Los Angeles Clippers and the star duo of James Harden and Paul George.
“Harden’s stance has not changed, a source close to him told The Athletic,” Sam Amick wrote. “He still wants to leave Philadelphia. He’s still upset with how Morey handled his situation heading into possible free agency last month.
“Even with the recent revelation that Harden attended the same NBPA party as Sixers co-star Joel Embiid and former Sixers owner Michael Rubin in Vegas, he’s still determined to start next season in a Clippers jersey.”
Harden this past season averaged 21.0 points, 10.7 assists (which led the league), and 6.1 rebounds on 44 percent shooting from the field and 39 percent from long distance.
Harden, 33, is a 10-time All-Star and three-time scoring champion.
