After showing his viewers how to make his easy cornflake and chipotle fried chicken, Paul stepped up to the plate.

Paul explained he was going to be making a romesco sauce with a mushroom and pork sausage, and boiled egg.

Confirming to James that it wasn’t a Cornish Scotch egg, Paul got to work and was soon finishing up the dish to showcase on the plate.

Putting on the final touches, Paul explained: “We’ve got the mix and we have put all these seasons in and creating all those layers in there.

“And then if you just take some little leaves of basil and just throw them on the top, if you can do the same on the other two please mate.”

Picking up the basil, James began to garnish the scotch eggs but decided to do his own thing, leaving Paul to snap at him.

“And that is it but why are we going around the outside?”

James joked: “Because I think it looks nicer, life is too short,” to which Paul quipped: “It would have been easy…”

James shouted: “Just put the oil around the thing,” however Paul was adamant about getting his point across and said: “Would have been easy if you listened to what I said in the first place.”

Elsewhere, James recently revealed he would be touring the UK’s top holiday destination abroad for his forthcoming new ITV series.

Writing on his Instagram, he penned: “New Spain series incoming! On ITV in 2023. #spain #cooking #foodtour #chef #travel.

“Most of us are aware of the widely known Spanish dishes, but on this adventure, we dive deep into lesser known regions to discover a multitude of flavours that have been perfected in the most authentic ways.

“Viewers can expect to learn delicious traditional recipes as well as the history behind them, in a fun and exciting way.”

James Martin Saturday Morning airs Saturday from 9:25am on ITV.
