On April 12, Corinne revealed her dad was in “recovery” following a mysterious medical emergency while filming the Netflix movie, Back in Action, with Cameron Diaz in Atlanta.

“We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” Corinne wrote in a since-deleted social media post.

“Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”

Days after the incident, a source told CNN doctors were “still trying to figure out what exactly happened” to the 55-year-old Grammy winner.

A source later told PEOPLE that the Oscar winner was making steady progress towards a full recovery. “He’s OK, thank God,” the source said at the time. “He’s still in the hospital and doctors are running tests but he’s awake and alert. They’re keeping him under observation.”

On May 5, a source close to the Collateral star told PEOPLE that “Jamie is stable and not in a life-threatening situation now.”

Despite his improvements, Jamie and Corinne will not appear on the latest season of Beat Shazam, with Nick Cannon and Kelly Osbourne temporarily taking over on the musical game show.

Before Cannon announced he was taking over on Beat Shazam, he revealed that Jamie was doing “so much better.”

The Masked Singer host told Entertainment Tonight: “He’s awake. They say he’s alert, so, we love it. I was reluctant to go all the way there, and even talk about it, but he gave me the blessing, so it’s a beautiful thing. I know he’s doing so much better because I’m actually about to do something special for him, and doing him a favour.”

Meanwhile, filming on Back in Action was completed using body doubles.
