Janelle Monáe is living their best life this summer. The musician soaked all the joy and pleasure the season allows on a trip to Ibiza in honey-blonde locs that exuded sunshine and happiness.
Monáe shared a video from their trip to the (clearly stunning) Six Senses resort, frolicking poolside with their locs worn in adorable space buns atop their head — the perfect way to keep your hair out of the water or off your neck on a hot day. Because they were kicking back on a beach vacation, Monáe kept their entire beauty look minimal and low-key with winged eyeliner — a Monáe signature — and bright orange-red lipstick, plus a matching orange manicure and a cheeky baby blue bikini.
When you’re on vacation, the last thing you want to think about is fussing with your hairstyle, so it comes as no surprise that Monáe also wore the blonde buns to hang out with friends, pairing them with a side-swept bang and another cute blue bikini. The summer energy is so contagious in these short clips that I’m tempted to pack my bags and book a ticket to Ibiza myself. (Janelle, where’d you get that bikini?)
