Janet Jackson’s Got the Shortest, Bluntest Bob in History

With decades of in the game and legend status already minted, Janet Jackson owes us absolutely nothing. The woman who gave us “Rhythm Nation,” “All 4U,” and “Doesn’t Really Matter,” along with a slew of other hits and unforgettable pop culture moments has done enough to prove she is, and will always be, that chick.

But sometimes, Jackson likes to step in with a little reminder or two. Fresh off an epic performance at Essence Fest at the top of July, the singer took to social media on July 14 to show off a new hairstyle, which has Edna Mode shaking in her boots.

Jackson rolled through in Monaco to attend the Christian Louboutin exhibition with the designer himself. For the occasion, she sported the shortest layered bob haircut, framing her face to perfection. The longest strands fall shaggily at her jaw, and her piecey bangs are cut at the perfect length to show off her expertly-arched brows. Her stylist mussed up the hair a bit to give it some extra texture. The hair complemented her soft glam beat to a T. Longtime makeup artist Preston Meneses sculpted Jackson’s cheekbones to blade-sharp perfection, warming up her face with warm, deep coral blush. Shimmering gold shadow, feather lashes, and creamy nude lips complete the look.
