Jarrod Bowen pushes West Ham fan for singing Dani Dyer song during interview

West Ham United hero Jarrod Bowen was seen pushing a supporter during a live TV interview that was interrupted by the fan singing a song about the 26-year-old’s partner Dani Dyer. Bowen popped up with a last-gasp winner for the Hammers to seal a historic Europa Conference League final victory over Fiorentina, which saw them get their hands on their first major continental trophy since 1965.

Bowen was sounded out for a post-match interview on BT Sport as the celebrations kicked off in Prague, although he was quickly left irked by the actions of a fan who had invaded the pitch after the full-time whistle. The supporter ran towards Bowen while singing: “Bowen’s on fire, and he’s s****ing Dani Dyer”. The West Ham player is dating Dyer who is also the mother of his twin daughters, which prompted an angry reaction from the former Hull City winger.

He wasted no time in sticking out an arm to push the fan away while telling him: “Leave, leave, leave.” The incident did little to dampen Bowen’s spirits, though, as he went on to speak of his disbelief after writing his name into West Ham folklore by scoring the winning goal against Fiorentina.

“I obviously dreamed of scoring but to score the winner in the last minute, it’s what you always say you want to do,” he said. “To do it in front of these fans, I thought I was going to cry. I’m just happy. We had a dream, we haven’t had the best season, myself included, but to give these fans this moment, I’m over the moon.

“I think in my position, you make that run 10 times and you might get that ball once. As soon as you get it you’ve got to put it away. Never [have I felt like this in my life].

“This is the biggest game of my career. The emotion, there was time for one more chance. I’m just so happy. I’m over the moon. I’m thinking of the party tonight. Listen to it [the fans celebrating], listen.”

There were tears of joy on the pitch and in the stands as West Ham revelled in their latest European triumph, with a number of club legends also in attendance to soak up the occasion alongside the players and staff. Current first-team coach and former Hammers midfielder Kevin Nolan delivered an emotional review of a historic night for the club, which also saw them book their place in next season’s Europa League to mark their third successive campaign as participants in a UEFA competition.

“We wanted this, I played for the club and have come back in a coaching capacity and it has been unbelievable,” beamed Nolan. “I am delighted for the gaffer, the hard work, and as you can see it is all coming out! To get back into the Europa League next year is another massive step. The emotions of the lads, all the fans, it is unbelievable for us being a part of it.”
