Javier Bardem once accidentally delayed a Prince concert — by an entire hour!

The actor explained that he was in London with his wife, Penélope Cruz, when they joined the late singer for a backstage dinner.

Javier said that the group, including his “good friend” Jordi Mollà, had been enjoying the meal when they realized no one was coming to take them to the concert.

“We were having dinner and we took the dessert, and we were having a drink, two drinks, and we were like, ‘Nobody’s coming here to pick us up,'” Javier said on The Tonight Show.

He continued, “So I step out of the room and I say, ‘Hey, we are here.’ ‘Ah, are you finished?’ ‘Yes.’ Then Prince came and said, ‘Are you done?’ ‘Yes.'”

As soon as they mentioned they were done, the group was escorted to their seats, and the concert began.
“And we were like, ‘Oh, my god! They’ve been waiting an hour for us to finish the dinner!’ So that’s my Hollywood star story: I made people wait for an hour,” Javier shared.

Javier added an apology to anyone who may have been at the concert and promised, “I swear to god, I didn’t know!”
