Jax Taylor reveals why Tom Sandoval cheated with Raquel Leviss, ending Ariana Madix’s love story

Jax wasn’t surprised when he heard that his friend Tom had cheated on his girlfriend Ariana with their co-star Raquel. Jax had known Sandoval for twenty years and wasn’t shocked because he knew his lifestyle and character. However, his wife Brittany Cartwright was taken aback by the news. She found it shocking that the affair had gone on unnoticed by those around them.

Jax explained why Tom had an affair with Raquel while he was in a relationship with Ariana. “There’s a reason why it’s Raquel. [It’s] because she can be controlled. Ariana’s a very strong, independent woman — that’s how Brittany is but you can’t control her. And I think Raquel’s very easily influenced. I think he likes to be able to tell her what to do. I think she’s very codependent, and I think he preys on that. He can control her and she’ll do whatever he says. And she’s a fangirl a little bit. That wasn’t happening with Ariana.”

In a sneak peek of Vanderpump Rules’ midseason, Bravo released the first footage of Ariana and Tom having a conversation on camera. The conversation happened after Ariana learned that Tom had been cheating on her with Raquel. Ariana had a strong reaction to Tom’s betrayal, including telling him to ‘die’ and stating that he did not deserve her.

With a stoic expression, Ariana rebuffed any indication of sympathy towards his pain, and said blatantly, “You don’t deserve one f***ing tear of mine.” He also asked her, “Do you want anything?” She said, “I want you to die.”
