Mike Dunleavy Jr. was named the new general manager of the Golden State Warriors today and ESPN’s Jay Williams couldn’t be happier for him.
Taking to Twitter on Friday, Williams congratulated Dunleavy. He shared a photo of the two of them on the cover of the ESPN Magazine from when they were teammates at Duke.
“Congrats brother!” Williams wrote, tagging the Warriors.
As teammates at Duke, Williams and Dunleavy won an NCAA title in 2001. During the 2001-02 season, the two of them and Carlos Boozer became the first trio in Duke history to each score 600 points in a season.
