Jennifer Lawrence Is Serving Holly Golightly in Two Little Black Dresses

Clearly, the little black dress as a fashion staple isn’t going anywhere, and these latest looks on Jennifer Lawrence show us exactly why that is.

Photographers captured Lawrence shooting a commercial for luxury watch brand Longlines in New York City on June 29 (not to be confused with the pictures of Lawrence shooting a commercial for luxury clothing brand Dior in New York City on June 28) and serving classic glamour. The actor and unofficial “quiet luxury” spokeswoman was channeling Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s in two little black dresses on set in Manhattan’s high-tone Upper West Side neighbourhood.

The more fashion-forward of Lawrence’s two LBDs was a short, long-sleeved frock with exaggerated shoulders to offset the simplicity. Lawrence styled the structured mini with a ladylike headband, heeled sandals, and Ray-Ban wayfarers. I don’t know the precise brand of the dress or what it cost, but I will say that the vibes, at least, are 100 percent stealth wealth.

On what must have been a long day of shooting, Lawrence also wore a sexier version of LBD, a clingy, backless, midi-length shift dress. This time, the actor’s styling leaned old Hollywood, with her hair in a dramatic side part and a dramatic smokey eye.

Jennifer Lawrence obviously looks great in both dresses, though they are a far cry from her off-duty summer uniform. When she’s not shooting anything, the stumble-prone actor generally opts for flat shoes, for one thing, which she tends to wear with baggy trousers and white t-shirts. But Hepburn always preferred flats, too.
