Jennifer Lawrence is shutting down speculation she’s had plastic surgery, telling Kylie Jenner in a new interview that her looks have changed because of her new makeup routine and the fact that she’s getting older.

During a chat with Jenner for Interview magazine, Lawrence, who is a self-proclaimed super fan of the Kardashian/Jenner family clan, denied she’s had any work done to her face, chalking up her changing appearance to the passage of time and new techniques.

In September, fans speculated the Oscar winner had gone under the knife after her appearance at Dior’s Spring/Summer 2024 show during Paris Fashion Week.

In 2022, Instagram account truthaboutfaves shared side-by-side images of Lawrence “then and now,” comparing her countenance in her early career with her current look.

But Lawrence dismissed the rumours she’s gotten “eye surgery” and had a nose job when she asked Jenner about how the beauty mogul brought “contouring lips into the mainstream.”

“I think it started because I just wanted big, fat, juicy lips, and I just wanted that illusion that I had fuller lips,” Jenner, 26, said.

“That’s really, really cool,” Lawrence, 33, responded. “I also think it’s incredible what makeup can do because I work with [Canadian makeup artist] Hung [Vanngo], who overlines the lip, and I call him a plastic surgeon, because everybody in the last few months since I’ve been working with him is convinced that I had eye surgery,” Lawrence said. “I’m like, ‘I didn’t have eye surgery. I’m doing makeup.’”

Jenner admitted getting lip fillers, but said her look has changed because she’s just getting older. “I’m like, ‘How can you compare my 12-year-old face and say I’ve gotten my jaw shaved and eyelids removed?’” she said of critics. “I’m like, ‘What are we talking about?’”

The Hunger Games alum said people forget that it’s normal for your features to change as you age.

“I have the same thing. I started at 19, so I get the before and after pictures from when I’m 19 to 30 and I’m like, ‘I grew up. I lost baby weight in my face, and my face changed because I’m aging,’” Lawrence explained. “Everybody thought I had a nose job, and I’m like, ‘I’ve had the exact same nose. My cheeks got smaller. Thank you for bringing it up.’”

“It is amazing what makeup can do,” the Kylie Cosmetics founder replied.

In the past, Jenner has fended off critics who have accused her of surgically altering her face, outside of getting lip fillers.

People think I fully went under the knife and completely reconstructed my face, which is completely false,” she said during a 2019 interview with Paper. “I’m terrified! I would never. They don’t understand what good hair and makeup and, like, fillers, can really do.”
