Jennifer Lopez Is Single-Handedly Keeping the Nap-Dress Trend Alive in 2022

Two years ago, a day didn’t go by that I didn’t see a nap dress, a term coined by the brand Hill House Home that describes its Victorian-esque cotton dresses that went viral during lockdown. Not only were people buying out Hill House Home’s styles, but they were also shopping for alternatives from brands that, too, hopped on board the trend. Somewhere between then and now, the billowy, lightweight style lost its buzz factor. Now, I can’t remember the last time I saw someone wearing a nap dress.

That is until a few days ago when Jennifer Lopez wore one, jump-starting the trend all over again. Spotted in Los Angeles this weekend, Lopez wore a delicately embroidered white nap dress from Dôen, another go-to brand for the ethereal silhouette. With it, she wore a pair of Gucci espadrille wedges, Celine sunglasses, and a Dior tote bag. Further accessorizing, she added a wealth of gold jewelry, including oversize hoop earrings and a layer of chain necklaces. All in all, it was the perfect outfit for a hot day and is one I will absolutely be copying in the coming weeks.

Ahead, shop all of the best nap dresses on the market today. Now that J.Lo’s worn one, the style will no doubt go back to being the most-wanted item in fashion.
