Jennifer Lopez looked positively bridal in a sheer white maxi dress

Jennifer Lopez’s summer style has been sending a clear message since her April engagement to Ben Affleck.

On June 17, the Halftime star was photographed holding hands with her fiancé on the set of his upcoming movie about a former Nike executive’s relentless quest to sign an endorsement deal with Michael Jordan. In the photos (which can be viewed here) Lopez can be seen wearing a sheer white eyelet maxi dress, platform espadrille wedges, a pair of gold hoops, and, of course, her green engagement ring. The singer wore her hair up in a casual bun and threw on a long beige knit cardigan over the dress in a couple of the paparazzi shots. 

The dress itself is perfectly fitting for a bride-to-be, though it’s not the only white ensemble Lopez has worn in recent days. Following the premiere of her Netflix documentary on June 8, Lopez stepped out in New York City wearing a pair of white ultra-wide-leg jeans, a ribbed tee, and an oversized blazer, which she paired diamond drop earrings and a pair of sparkly silver platform shoes.

After announcing her engagement to Ben Affleck in early April, Jennifer Lopez revealed the story of his bubble bath proposal in her newsletter, On the JLo. 

“I was taken totally off guard and just looked in his eyes smiling and crying at the same time trying hard to get my head around the fact that after 20 years this was happening all over again, I was quite literally speechless and he said, ‘is that a yes?’ I said YES of course that’s a YES,” she wrote.

“I was smiling so big and tears were coming down my face, feeling so incredibly happy and whole. It was nothing fancy at all, but it was the most romantic thing I could’ve ever imagined…just a quiet Saturday night at home, two people promising to always be there for each other. Two very lucky people. Who got a second chance at true love.”
