James Holzhauer won the first Jeopardy! Masters competition on Wednesday.
Holzhauer took home the $500,000 prize as well as a Trebek Trophy after triumphing over Mattea Roach and Matt Amodio.

Jeopardy! will also donate $100,000 to Holzhauer’s charity of choice.
Combining the points from Wednesday’s game and the previous finals game, Holzhauer ended up with 43,795 points. Roach had 41,685 points, winning a $250,000 prize, and Amodio had 15,200 points, enough for the $150,000 prize.
All three finalists will have the chance to return for next year’s Jeopardy! Masters
