Jeremy Clarkson issues explosive customer warning about his cider brand

Jeremy Clarkson took to Twitter to warn fans about his Hawkstone Cider brand.

The Clarkson’s Farm star didn’t mince his words as he revealed the severe issue, opening the tweet with multiple expletives.

“F*** f*** f*** f*** f***  f***. There’s been a massive c*** up and as a result, there’s a very slim chance, some of our Hawkstone CIDER bottles might, there’s no easy way of saying this, explode,” he wrote to his 8 million followers.

“If the cap has the code L3160, open it underwater, pour it away and get in touch for a refund,” he said.

[email protected][.uk] Really sorry about this but on the upside, the beer is fine and still delicious. As is the cider, in bottles that are unaffected. Which is almost all of them,” he reassured fans.

Despite the grim warning, fans of the drink seemed undeterred and were sure to let Jeremy know in the comments.

@gam1701 seemed excited by the prospect, writing: “I’m off to buy some exploding cider.”

User @pcnoic enquired: “can you sell them as exclusives? I am interested and I take full responsibility if I die.” (sic)

@Strangebox_ltd made light of the situation, joking that it was a perfect product for the Grand Tour star to promote.

“Actually think this might be a unique selling point,” they said. “Can we choose to have this L3160 exploding version ? sounds very on brand for a Clarkson venture.” (sic)

Meanwhile, user @WilGreen13 posted a picture of a bottle that seemed to be from the affected batch and asked: “Like this? I had one last night and it was amazing, was looking forward to this one tonight.”

This led Jeremy to quip: “Open it while wearing a Hurt Locker suit.”

Jeremy launched the Cider last April with his Diddly Squat farm manager Kaleb Cooper following the success of their Hawkstone Lager, which launched in late 2021 and immediately rose to the number 1 spot on Amazon’s beer charts

It is produced using apples grown within a 50-mile radius of the brewery

To develop, test and produce the cider, the brand partnered with Guy Lawrence, a fifth-generation Weston’s cider-maker whose family-owned cider mill dates to the 1880s.
