Jeremy Vine shared CCTV footage of a porch pirate stealing his parcel from the designated safe place on his porch.
The TV presenter, 56, took to his Twitter page to share the moment the unknown person approached the specific area where his parcel was hidden.
“I got hit by a Porch Pirate a couple of days ago,” he tweeted. “At 1125 the @dhlexpressuk guy leaves a delivery in an agreed place; at 1207 the Pirate appears.”
Jeremy then questioned how the person knew where the parcel was hidden.
“Is he following the van around? He knew exactly where to go. Parcel stolen, box found ripped open 100yds away by kind neighbour,” the star added.

A fan soon pointed out that the thief can be seen in the first few seconds of the clip walking past his home while the delivery man hid the parcel.
“Great spot! The Pirate is in the first clip too … now it makes total sense,” Jeremy said.
Jeremy later posted another video of the incident, with added descriptions of what happened.
“I’ve now worked out EXACTLY how the ‘Porch Pirate’ struck my family in Christmas week … and okay, lesson learned, that’s the last time I nominate a large open box as my safe place. Take a look,” he tweeted with the clip.

In the video, which was taken from a different angle, the DHL delivery man rang the bell and realised no one was in. He then approached the neighbour’s home to leave the parcel there but changed his mind.
When he returned to Jeremy’s home to leave the parcel in the designated box, the thief then walks by.
Half an hour later, the thief returns on the bike. Jeremy added a description in the video saying: “He’s back. Watch how the brakes on his bike seemed to take him by surprise.”

“I now wish I had placed a small smoke bomb in the box,” he joked before adding an edited ‘explosion’ near the box.
To finish off, the thief quickly posed as a delivery man by pretending to check if anyone was home before running off with the item.
Fans were shocked by the ordeal and took to the comment section to share their outrage or share their theories.
“I can’t believe what I’m watching! The absolute cheek of it! And to knock on your door and pose as the delivery guy,” one user wrote.
Another added: “Looking at fact that he walked past first they cycled back and was confused by brakes says to me that he stole the bike too.”
“Don’t understand why he bothered knocking. May as well have just legged it,” one user added.
