Jet Airways on Thursday took to the skies again after a hiatus of more than three years. The airline stopped services in April 2019 after being bogged down by financial woes.

Earlier in March, Jalan Kalrock Consortium announced that Sanjiv Kapoor, who held crucial portfolios in Vistara and Spicejet, was appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Jet Airways is gearing up to resume commercial operations by October 2022, CEO Kapoor said.
Jalan Kalrock Consortium is the “Successful Resolution Applicant” and new proposed promoters of Jet Airways. In June 2021, the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) approved the Jalan-Kalrock Consortium’s resolution plan.
In October 2020, the airline’s Committee of Creditors (CoC) approved the resolution plan submitted by the consortium of the UK’s Kalrock Capital and the UAE-based entrepreneur Murari Lal Jalan.
