The Jets held a moment of silence for Demaryius Thomas before their game at MetLife Stadium on Sunday.

Thomas, who spent the final season of his career on the Jets as a captain, died Thursday at the age of 33. His death hit hard for players and coaches across the NFL as the former wide receiver was a popular and well-respected presence during his 10-year career.

Before the national anthem played ahead of Sunday’s Jets-Saints game, the big screens showed a picture of Thomas in a Jets uniform for the moment of silence.

Thomas, who spent most of his career with the Broncos, came to the Jets in 2019 and played 11 games, catching 36 passes for 433 yards and a touchdown.

The Broncos also planned on honoring Thomas on Sunday ahead of and during their game against the Lions. The team was set to wear No. 88 decals on its helmets and a pregame video tribute and moment of silence were also planned.
