Rumors about a potential Damian Lillard to Miami trade have been swirling over the last few days. And on Saturday, Heat star Jimmy Butler added some fuel to those trade flames.

Butler shared an Instagram story featuring Lillard’s song “Money Ball.”

Take a look at the post here:

On Friday, Lillard went on Instagram live with the song “Miami” by Will Smith playing in the background. His agent, Aaron Goodwin, claims the song choice was a complete coincidence, but it certainly sparked questions around the league.

On Thursday night, the Trail Blazers selected Scoot Henderson with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2023 draft — further calling Lillard’s future with the team into question.

Earlier this year, Dame expressed interest in joining the Heat when going over hypothetical trade scenarios on Brian Custer’s The Last Stand podcast.

The addition of a superstar point guard like Lillard could be exactly what Butler and the Heat need to push them over that NBA Championship hump.
