Fury faces off with himself after Whyte now show at press conference

John Fury insists there will be a problem if David Haye is on commentary duties for Tyson Fury ‘s world title fight with Dillian Whyte.

His comments come after Haye backed Whyte to hand Tyson the first loss of his professional career next weekend. It’s not the first time the former two-weight world champion Haye has backed Tyson to lose having predicted Deontay Wilder would beat him last year.

“No-one is really backing him whatsoever, but the type of opponent that you’d need to beat Tyson Fury – Dillian Whyte has all of those attributes. So I’m going with the unpopular underdog,” Haye told talkSPORT.

Although Haye admits Fury is currently the best heavyweight in the world, the pair have a rivalry dating back to their failed fights in 2013 and 2014. John said he has told boxing promoter Frank Warren that BT Sport pundit Haye is not allowed to call the fight.

“David Haye is not allowed to comment on that show. David Haye needs to take a back seat in the stands where nobody can see him. I’ve already made it quite clear to Frank Warren – he is not allowed to be commentating on my son’s fight, otherwise there will be a problem,” John told Jim White and Simon Jordan.

“That’s black and white, the nation can hear me. He’s a hater, I don’t want him near my family, that’s the bottom line. They know me, BT, and I will not be silent if he’s there. He’s the worst pundit in the world and I’ll tell you why – his heart rules his head.”

Fury has also clashed with Haye over his take on a fight between his son and Anthony Joshua, with John offering to bet £1million that Tyson would win. He thinks Haye predicts against Tyson because he is jealous of what ‘The Gypsy King’ has achieved during his career

“He’s a hater, always has been and he’s jealous of Tyson because he’d love to be the man Tyson is and he can’t, and jealousy consumes him. It’s been proven and I don’t want him near the show,” Fury added.

“Everybody that Tyson’s fought it’s, ‘Oh, they’re gonna beat Tyson, they’re gonna beat Tyson.’ How many times can he be wrong? It’s a no-flight zone to the Fury job for him, I told Frank last night that’s what I want.”
