In a viral TikTok video, Depp was captured doodling and showing his work of art to his attorney Benjamin Chew. A TikToker, who claims to be on #TeamJohnny, posted the clip earlier this week with the caption, “Watch what he passes to his attorney.” So far, the snippet has notched over 756,000 likes on the social media platform.

“This is hilarious. Johnny Depp looks so serious, like he’s writing something really important. This dude’s such a stud,” the fan says in a voice over before Depp and Chew share a laugh at the image.

The drawing appears to show a woman’s face. Depp’s attorney puts on his glasses to look at the sketch before tapping the caricature and holding his hand to his chest.

According to the New York Post, Depp’s artistic inspiration happened while the court was waiting for witness Tara Roberts, Depp’s island estate manager, to testify via video.

During Roberts’ cross examination, the Post reported that she recounted an embarrassing incident the actor suffered in 2013 in front of his children.

“Do you recall Mr. Depp passing out in the sand face first?” Heard’s lawyer asked.

“I recall he was passed out on the beach,” Roberts replied.

But Roberts also told the jury in the Fairfax, Va., courtroom that she witnessed an instance in which Heard was “viciously trying to pull him back in the house” during a fight.

Roberts alleged that Heard was “clawing” at the Pirates of the Caribbean star and that she later saw Depp with a “marking across the bridge of his nose.”

Elsewhere, the trial heard from a doorman who worked in the couple’s former building in downtown Los Angeles. Alejandro Romero was asked about a May 2016 fight between the pair which police were called to.

According to PEOPLE, Romero admitted he didn’t see “any marks or bruises” on Heard’s face, but conceded that he didn’t know if she was wearing makeup at the time.

“I just don’t remember any,” Romero said in his pre-recorded deposition. “I would’ve seen that and I would remember because that’s something that you would see.”

His statement echoed that of LAPD officer Melissa Saenz, who responded to the emergency call at the couple’s home in 2016, after she testified that she “did not identify (Heard) as a victim of domestic violence.”

Heard, 36, and Depp, 58, met in 2011 and wed in 2015. The couple split in May 2016, with Heard accusing him of abusing her. Depp denied the claims, and the former couple settled their divorce out of court.

But Depp is suing Heard for $50 million after she claimed to be a survivor of domestic abuse in a 2018 op-ed she wrote for The Washington Post. While he wasn’t named, Depp maintained the article harmed his career.

Heard is counter-suing Depp, claiming he defamed her by deeming her allegations of abuse as a “hoax.” Her attorneys have argued that it is his own pattern of poor behaviour which led to his stalled career.

Earlier this week, one of Depp’s witnesses, Dr. Shannon Curry, claimed Heard suffers from “borderline personality disorder.”

Depp has already taken the stand in the ongoing case, with Heard expected to testify in the Virginia courtroom in the coming days.
