BBC Breakfast presenter Jon Kay was scolded by BBC co-star Gethin Jones after he told viewers to watch another show rather than Morning Live.
After speaking to climate editor Justin Rowlatt about his new film on electric cars, Jon seemed to forget that Morning Live was airing straight after their show.
He told viewers: “The programme about electric cars that Justin has made it’s called Electric Cars, What They Really Mean For You, will be on BBC One at eight o’clock tonight.
“Or if you can’t wait until eight o’clock you can watch it right now on iPlayer or at least at quarter past nine when we finish.”
Nothing his mistake and correcting him, Sally expressed: “Oh not at quarter past nine, definitely not quarter past nine because at quarter past nine Morning Live is here on BBC One.”
Linking over to the Morning Live studio, Gethin teased: “Your’re in trouble now Jon…” to which Helen Skelton added: “Here me thinking we’re a big team… that’s how it goes.”
Jon laughed and added: “I saw a clenched fist their Geth I’m sorry,” leaving Gethin to hold up his hand and joke: “I was just doing my hair.”
As the link ended, Gethin said: “Loads coming at 9:15 this morning… Jon,” to which the BBC Breakfast star noted: “I will be there, I will be there throughout the entire programme.”
Gethin and Helen were joined by A Place in the Sun presenter Jonnie Irwin on Monday to discuss his terminal cancer diagnosis.
He admitted to having “up and down days” and expressed: “I’ve been using palliative care for three years.
“It’s the care you’re given when doctors think you won’t recover – I’ve been in palliative care since day one, when I got my diagnosis.
“It can take many guises – from hospital visits and chemotherapy all the way to the hospice. It’s the care you’re given when doctors think you won’t recover.
