Jonnie Irwin hit the red carpet at the Television and Radio Industries Club Awards yesterday, where he was joined by friends Jules Hudson, Sonali Shah and Nicki Chapman.
Yesterday evening, the A Place in the Sun presenter shared an amusing clip from the occasion in view of his 179,000 Instagram followers.
At the event, which promotes goodwill in the television and radio industries, Jonnie could be seen partying away with his pals.
In the video, the Channel 4 star pretended to look concerned as Jules posed to undo one of the top buttons of his shirt, before barrelling towards him in a big hug, quipping: “Delicious!”
“When @thejuleshudson unbuttons the ‘2nd button’ he’s simply irresistible…” Jonnie added cheekily in the caption.
In response, Jonnie’s sister Amanda penned: “How do you do it little bro! What an absolute fighter! #inspiration #proudsister.”
Last year, Jonnie shared the devastating news that he had been diagnosed with terminal cancer and told he only had a few months to live.
Despite his illness, the 49-year-old has been very active on social media so as to keep up with his fans and continues to make public appearances.
As well as Jonnie’s sister, his fans also took to the comments section to send their well-wishes, with Marie writing: “I have stage 4 cancer and seeing you living life to the full is wonderful.”
Julie commented: “You’re absolutely amazing!!!!!! And the courage you’ve shown your children is amazing, what an inspiration you are.” (sic)
Edwina penned: “Awwwww makes my heart melt ….just love these two …keep fighting Jonnie.” (sic)
Amie added: “Wow your a true warrior sending love and strength to you and yours.”
Yesterday, the presenter smiled as he was joined by his stylish fellow presenters at the ceremony.
The star wore an open, forest green shirt layered over a dark, cardigan and T-shirt with matching dark, loose-fit trousers.
He also accessorised with a stylish, charcoal-coloured bowler hat.
Jonnie is best known for presenting Channel 4’s A Place in the Sun from 2004 to 2022, as well as the BBC’s Escape to the Country.
He has been married to Jessica Holmes since 2016 and together they share three sons: Rex (born 2018) and twins Rafa and Cormac (born 2020).
