Jake Paul gives his take on Tommy Fury’s next fight

Jorge Masvidal is ready to fight Jake Paul in the boxing ring – if the price is right.

The UFC welterweight is currently tied down to a five-fight deal with the leading mixed martial arts promotion but has regularly called out by YouTube star Paul. The pair were on good terms before Paul knocked out Ben Askren in his third professional fight, but their relationship turned sour when Masvidal backed Tyron Woodley to beat Paul in their first meeting.

Paul outpointed Woodley before knocking out the former UFC champion in their rematch – and issued another call-out to Masvidal who was most recently beaten by Colby Covington. Masvidal rejected a proposed $5million offer – but has now refused to rule out accepting the bout in the future.

“I love money and if it made me money, like a ton of it, why the f*** not?” he said on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast. “No matter what, I feel like the chips are stacked on my side because he just got into this like five or six years ago and I’ve been doing it since I was a kid.

“So even though it’s not what I have my f***ing PhD in, it’s still a form of combat that I have way more time than him doing and way more doing so of course I feel like man the chips are on my side. Big money and I and i would bet on myself that I win that fight.”

Paul impressed in knocking out Woodley last December – and Masvidal admitted the 25-year-old has improved over the course of his fledgling five-fight career.

“The best thing that I saw from him is that he got cracked numerous times in his last fight and I think he even suffered a little headbutt,” he said “I saw his face in that round where he was like holy s***. it’s a f***ing real fight. Eventually he came back and he started fighting harder and better.

“That’s the best thing I’ve seen about him so far is that he actually had real adversity. Woodley caught him with two good shots and he kept his composure and fought through so I definitely think he’s improved.”
