During an episode of Good Morning Britain in 2020, the former world heavyweight boxing champion appeared to have dozed off as he was being interviewed by hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid while promoting an exhibition boxing bout against Roy Jones Jr.
Tyson revealed that his on-air snooze was a result of drowsiness thanks to painkillers during an appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored on Tuesday.

“I had hurt myself at that particular time, said Tyson, as reported by the U.K. Mirror. “I guess I was training, something happened, I hurt myself and I received some painkillers from my wife and after I received these painkillers, I was just incapable of articulating anything, it was just a mess.”
Morgan jokingly told Tyson he thought he was “so boring as an interviewer that I had literally driven you to sleep.”
“I need you to take the wrap for that because I got killed for that, it was like ‘Morgan you’re sending people to sleep, what’s the matter with you?’” Morgan said. “I need you to take the wrap for this one.”
Tyson did take the wrap, admitting that “it was my fault.”
The former boxer appeared incoherent throughout the 2020 interview. He dozed off after Reid asked him whether two 50-year-old men should be fighting without protective headgear.
The snooze prompted viewers to become concerned about Tyson’s health, wondering if he was high on drugs.
He recently opened up about his health problems, revealing that he has sciatica, which has affected his mobility.
