From the princess of pop Britney Spears to a Kardashian we weren’t short of a celebrity wedding this year.
Several A-listers in Hollywood as well as some local AFL couples said I do in some breathtaking ceremonies.
Here’s a look at all the celebs who walked down the aisle this year.
Ash Barty and Garry Kissick
Tennis superstar Ash Barty and her partner Garry Kissick revealed they got hitched in July.
Barty shared the news on her Instagram along with a snap from her big day.
Guests at the service included Australian tennis great Pat Rafter, Barty’s former doubles partner Casey Dellacqua and former tennis star and WA resident, Alicia Molik.
Tayla and Nathan Broad
Reality star Tayla Damir and her AFL partner Nathan Broad married in October.
The brunette beauty, who hails from WA, shared a beautiful snap from their wedding on her social media.
Captioned, “Mr & Mrs Broad -17.10.2022” the newlyweds were congratulated by famous friends including Bec Judd, Abbey Gelmi, and Alisha Aitken-Radburn.
Nathan is also from WA, he currently plays for Richmond. The pair had a no-phone policy for their ceremony.
Dom and Brooke Sheed
Eagles player Dom Sheed married his partner Brooke Parker ahead of the Eagles 2022 season.
The couple’s wedding was a star-studded affair with several players and their partners attending the South West wedding.
Among the Eagles at the event were Tom Cole and his partner Lily Burke, Tom Barrass and Nadia Rose, club captain Luke Shuey and his wife Dani, former West Coast star Chris Masten and wife Emmi, Jeremy McGovern and his partner Madison, Josh Kennedy and wife Lauren, and Will and Alex Schofield.
Chrissy and Dino Carvalho
Chrissy Nina and Dino Carvalho tied the knot in what could be Perth’s biggest wedding this year.
The couple married at St Constantine And Helen Greek Orthodox Church before shutting down Rockpool at Crown for their reception for the October affair.
Some of Perth’s socialites attended the event including Cynthia Lu and Yusuf Khan, Phyllis and Vikay Narula, Bryan Ho, and Nilofar Khirzad.
Nat Rolt and Ty Couanis
Perth designer Natalie Rolt and her partner Ty Couanis tied the knot in early February.
The minimalist creative wore not one, but three, of her own stunning designs. The celebration, at Meelup Farmhouse in Eagle Bay, drew attention for its stunning white-on-white styling.
The wedding was later featured in the fashion bible Vogue Australia.
Tom Cole and Lily Burke
West Coast Eagles midfielder Tom Cole and his partner Lily Burke married just before Christmas 2022.
The wedding was a who’s who of WA football with Luke Shuey, Nic Naitanui, Tom Barrass and Josh Kennedy on the invites list.
Burke wore a plunging v-neck gown with floral detail, and her red hair tied back in a bun with elegant pearl earrings to the down south wedding.
Dr Harry and Susan Sheeran
Everyone’s favourite vet, Dr Harry married his long-term partner in a private ceremony in March.
The couple exclusively shared their wedding pictures with New Idea which also featured one of Harry’s pets.
The newlyweds revealed their wedding had been more than a decade in the making.
Olympia Vallance and Thomas Bellchambers
Former Neighbours star Olympia Vallance and her AFL beau Thomas Bellchambers tied the knot in a private ceremony in regional Victoria in June.
The actress told Vogue Australia that the couple decided they would wed in 2022 after first booking a holiday which they decided would be their honeymoon.
Olympia wore a stunning long-sleeve J’Aton Couture dress.
Jessica Mauboy and Themeli Magripilis
Former Australian Idol star Jessica Mauboy secretly tied the knot to her long-term partner Themeli Magripilis in Darwin in July.
The newlyweds celebrated with around 300 guests at an evening reception held on the lawn at the Mindil Beach Casino Resort.
Mauboy confirmed the news during an interview with The West Australian in November.
No photos from their big day have been released.
Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker
They say the third time is the charm and that appears to be the case for reality star Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker.
The pair tied the knot in Las Vegas after the Grammy Awards in April, but it was later revealed not to be legal.
They married in an intimate ceremony in Santa Barabara ahead of their big nuptials in Italy in May.
The bride wore a mini dress with a long veil. Their wedding festivities were mocked by fans online for being a Dolce and Gabanna-sponsored event with several family members also working with the designers.
Britney Spears and Sam Asghari
Pop princess Britney Spears finally married her personal trainer turned actor fiance Sam Asghari during a ceremony in California.
Spears’ guestlist included Madonna, Paris Hilton, Drew Barrymore, Selena Gomez, and Donatella Versace.
Unfortunately, for Britney, her big day started off with a major scare after her ex-husband Jason Alexander broke into her home while on Instagram Live.
He was later convicted of trespassing and battery. Spears’ two sons were also not at the wedding.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez
Love don’t cost her a thing but I’m sure JLo is happy Ben got her that ring.
After a failed engagement during the early 2000s, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez married in not one but two ceremonies.
The couple first said their I Dos in a quickie Las Vegas wedding in July.
A month later, they married again in a star-studded over the top wedding in Georgia.
JLo wore three dresses for what is her fourth marriage.
Samantha Jade and Pat Handlin
Perth singer Samantha Jade and her partner Pat Handlin finally tied the knot in October in a ceremony in Italy.
Among their guests were family and friends, including fellow singer Guy Sebastian and his wife Jules.
Sammie shared snaps from her ceremony. It’s not yet known if the couple plan a second wedding back home here in Perth or even over in Sydney, where they live together.
Rita Ora and Taika Waititi
In a case of did they or didn’t they- Rita Ora and her NZ director beau Taika Waititi reportedly did get married sometime this year.
The couple hosted the MTV EMAs together in November but they have not publicly acknowledged the long-running rumour that they got married in July.
Taika wore a ring on both of his ring fingers, as did Rita.
Anya-Taylor Joy and Malcolm McRae
Netflix star Anya Taylor-Joy and her musician partner Malcolm McRae reportedly tied the knot during an intimate courthouse wedding in July.
Page Six confirmed the news, although the couple are yet to make any confirmation of their own.
The publication stated the couple was planning on a bigger ceremony for later in the year after Anya wrapped filming Mad Max, which wrapped in late October.
Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz
In what was probably the first big celebrity wedding of the year, Victoria Beckham’s eldest son Brooklyn married actress Nicola Peltz.
Peltz, whose dad is an American billionaire, wore a custom Valentino gown. The couple held a weekend of festivities in Palm Beach, Florida ahead of their big day.
Their guest list included Serena Williams, Eva Longoria, Snoop Dog, and Gordon Ramsay.
Unfortunately for the couple, rumours surrounding a fallout between Nicola and Victoria has consumed them in their post-wedding bliss.
It’s been reported the mother-in-law and daughter had a falling out over Nicola not wearing a design by Beckham down the aisle.
Vogue got exclusive rights to the couple’s wedding pictures.
Lindsay Lohan and Bader Shammas
In a sign of the 2000s party girls well and truly growing up, Lindsay Lohan revealed in July that she is a married woman.
The actress shared on Instagram that she had married her partner Bader Shammas.
The couple have been together since November 2020.
