Amakhosi admitted that they inquired about the availability of a number of players in the league, and while the said players wanted to join them, their clubs wouldn’t let them go.

Chiefs’ interest in both Sipho Mbule of SuperSport United and AmaZulu’s Siyethemba Sithebe and Royal AM’s Victor Letsoalo was confirmed.

However, none of those players is with Chiefs after their requests and bids were rejected by their respective clubs.

KAIZER CHIEFS STATEMENT ON PSL CLUBS’ RELUCTANCE

The club did enquire about the availability of some players with a few clubs in the league during the January transfer window period, but there was general reluctance from some of those clubs to do business even though the players expressed their interest in joining Amakhosi.

Kaizer Chiefs will continue to do business on a willing buyer, willing seller policy with other clubs in the future.
