On Friday morning, one post from Kajol’s Instagram account took the whole nation by shock. The actress deleted all her previous posts from the medium and announced a social media break. Her fans got worried at this step of the actress. But now they can heave a sigh of relief as Kajol has revealed the real ‘trial’ in her life.
Kajol announces the trailer release date of her OTT debut The Trial
The whole move of archiving her Instagram posts was just a promotional strategy for Kajol’s OTT debut. She is making her foray on the digital medium with a legal drama titled The Trial – Pyaar, Kanoon, Dhoka. The actress plays a lawyer in the show that will stream on Disney+ Hotstar. Earlier, the show was announced with the title ‘The Good Wife’ but it has now been renamed.
Along with the new title, June 12 has also been announced as the trailer release date for The Trial. Kajol’s first look as a lawyer in the series is also very intriguing. She has quite a stern gaze in her eyes that just pierces right through you. This is a new beginning for the actress and she has had quite an exciting start to it.
Kajol’s rollercoaster Friday morning…
The actress began Friday morning by leaving her fans stunned. She deleted all her Instagram posts saying, she is facing the ‘toughest trial’ in her life. It indeed turned out to be a promotional thing for her web series but Kajol kept up the act in front of the paparazzi too. She was spotted in the city and while the paps tried to click her, she rushed past them to her car. Although, finally now her fans can be relieved.

Last seen in the December 2022 release Salaam Venky, Kajol will next make her OTT debut with The Trial. The legal drama will feature her as a lawyer dealing with love, law and deceit as per the tagline of the show. Apart from that, she will also reportedly star alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran and Ibrahim Ali Khan in the latter’s acting debut.
