Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco’s smash show The Flight Attendant is back for a second season, and we cannot wait to see where the thriller series takes us next.
We’ve been treated to a first look at what’s to come from HBO’s video round-up of their 2022 schedule, but GLAMOUR has delved a little deeper to find what else we know so far.
On the news of the show’s renewal last year, Kaley expressed her excitement to return as the star and executive producer of the series. “To say that I am elated would be an understatement,” she said when the show was renewed the day after the finale was aired.
“The positive response to our show has surpassed all of our expectations, and I’m so proud of the entire team behind its success.”
We know season two will be filmed in California – so hopefully, we can expect some sunshine with a side of drama.
Who will be in the cast for Flight Attendant season 2?
Alongside Kaley as Cassie Bowden, Rosie Perez will return as fellow flight attendant Megan, and Zosia Mamet will reprise her role as lawyer Annie, as well as Michelle Gomez as Amanda and TR Knight as Davey.
In terms of new castings for season two, Euphoria star Alanna Ubach has been cast as a recurring guest star, reportedly as a fellow flight attendant who doesn’t like Cassie. Drama.
Comic and Feel Good genius Mae Martin has also been cast, as well as Black Mirror and The Bold Type‘s Yasha Jackson and Better Call Saul star Jessie Ennis.
What will Flight Attendant season 2 be about?
The second season will look closely at how Kaley’s character Cassie adapts to sobriety.
“She’s definitely going to be trying to live a sober life while still trying to be who she was,” she told Variety. “And I think that’s what she’s going to struggle with the most. ‘Am I the same person I was before? Or are people going to like me? Am I still fun?’
“And then still trying to have her job. And she’s also a CIA asset, which is a very small job. This is not some sort of agent. She is a teeny tiny asset. But she seems to get confused as to what is needed from her and gets herself stuck in a situation that she should not be in.”
Kaley called playing Cassie an “actor’s dream”. “I feel like I played ten characters in one,” she added. “She got to be funny and very upset, tears in one scene and laughing in the other and being sarcastic. And I got to do all the things.”
Is there a release date for The Flight Attendant season two?
No, but HBO has confirmed that the show is currently in production – so it’s only a matter of time. We’ll update you as soon as we know more.
