Kangana Ranaut says, “I am an accidental producer” : Bollywood News – Bollywood Hungama

Kangana Ranaut established herself as a star to reckon with a number of noteworthy performances, starting from her debut Gangster (2006). She then decided to become a director through her historical action film Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi, the biopic on Rani Laxmibai. She is now all set to become a producer through her film Tiku Weds Sheru.

Kangana Ranaut says, “I am an accidental producer”

But Kangana has said that her decision to become a producer was an accident. She said in a statement, “I did not become a producer to make money. I am an accidental producer, to ensure that the kind of films I want to make are being made. I incorporate my experiences on my sets as well.”

Kangana also said that she made a rule on her sets as a producer to ensure that everyone is treated equally, including through the food shared. She added, “Whichever actor comes on the set, no matter how big or small their role is, we ensure that they are treated with respect, provided a proper script to help them work on their lines. Because whoever is coming on the set, is invested in the film no matter how big or small. So, they deserve to be respected equally!”

Coming back to Tiku Weds Sheru, the film is a romantic comedy starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur. Throwing more light on the film’s subject, an official statement from the makers said, “Tiku weds Sheru is a quirky story of love and passion fuelled by the eccentricities of Tiku and Sheru, a couple with contrasting personalities, who stand the test of time in pursuit of their shared dreams.”

Directed by Sai Kabir, Tiku Weds Sheru will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video from June 23 onwards.
