Kanye West had 9-year-old daughter North at party with naked sushi women

It’s fair to say that Kanye West is not the most rational and consistent of thinkers, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the self-proclaimed devoted dad also exposed his 9-year-old daughter North to all kinds of bizarre antics at his 46th birthday party.

One antic involved Nyotaimori, the Japanese practice of serving sushi or sashimi on a woman’s nude body, Page Six and other outlets reported. It’s easy to guess that West, a self-styled visionary musician and fashion designer, reasoned that he was introducing his daughter to a form of artistic expression.

But West also is the father who once accused his ex-wife Kim Kardashian of being a bad mother because she made a sex tape and because she let North go on TikTok, exposing her to the immorality of social media. West, who has spoken of his devout Christian faith, furthermore railed against his ex-mother-in-law Kris Jenner, apparently out of fear that she would encourage North and his three younger children to also make sex tapes or to go in that direction in the future.

Photos shared on social media showed North arriving to West’s party, hand-in-hand with Bianca Censori, her father’s new supposed “wife.” North West’s face appeared to be bruised and bloodied — though it was special effects make-up, TMZ said. The girl apparently was following in her father’s footsteps by creating a shocking look for the party, Page Six said. She also wore his signature Yeezy rubber boots.

At the star-studded party, a DJ played West’s hits while chefs served raw fish delicacies on trays balanced on the torso of nude models, lying lifelessly on tables, the Daily Mail said.

At one point, North stuck her tongue out for the camera and was filmed skeptically grabbing a piece of raw fish — though off a platter, not off one of the naked women, Page Six said. She tried to feed the fish to Censori, who was not interested in the snack.

Some people raised concerns about bringing a 9-year-old girl to a party where women lied around and were being objectified. They also called the situation misogynistic — a criticism that has been leveled against the practice of nyotaimori in the past, according to a 2010 story in The Guardian.

“In what WORLD is treating women like objects for male consumption (literally) not misogyny?” said one person on Twitter, Page Six reported. “Wow, because nothing says happy birthday like objectifying women and cultural misappropriation,” tweeted another.

The tradition dates back to Geisha houses, when sushi was served on a woman’s naked body as a “treat” for Samurai soldiers returning from battle, Cosmopolitan reported. In modern times, nyotaimori might take place at bachelor parties. It gained mainstream notoriety in a scene from the 2008 “Sex and the City” movie, in which Kim Cattrall’s Samantha arranges sushi on her nude body as a Valentine’s Day gift for a lover.

Someone else summed up what’s especially bizarre and potentially problematic about the whole situation of North being at a party that, in some ways, is reminiscent of an erotic moment in “Sex and the City.”
