The makers of the upcoming film Gehraiyaan organized a star-studded screening of their film. Directed by Shakun Batra, the film stars Deepika Padukone, Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Dhairya Karwa. Actor-comedian Kapil Sharma along with his wife Ginni Chatrath was also present at the screening. The comedian has been quite vocal about his admiration for Deepika and the two often engage in friendly banter when the actress appears on his popular television show.
Kapil Sharma who arrived for the screening with Ginni posed for the paparazzi stationed outside the venue. In a sweet gesture, Kapil also kissed Ginni on the cheek as the paparazzi clicked them. The pictures and video of Kapil and Ginni from the screening has been doing the rounds on the internet. Netizens joked that the comedian was inspired by Deepika’s character in Gehraiyaan who has several intimate moments with Siddhant Chaturvedi’s character.
Meanwhile, the team of Gehraiyaan including Deepika was recently seen on The Kapil Sharma Show. On the show, Kapil welcomed Deepika with a warm hug and even sang ‘Hume Tumse Pyaar Kitna’ for her. The comedian also said that he is ready to put in all his money as a producer if he gets to work with Deepika. “Deepika ke liye toh main dobara…saari daulat lelo aap, laga do (For Deepika, I will… Take all my money, put it on the film),” he had said leaving her and the others in splits.
Meanwhile, Gehraiyaan is all set to release on February 11 on Amazon Prime Video.
