Karachi Kings have no new injury update since Akif Javed replaced Mir Hamza in the team two days ago. That has been the least of their concern as the Imad Wasim-led side has lost three matches on the trot.

Kings are struggling at the top of their batting order due to a lack of consistency. James Vince found some form with a quick 14-ball 20 against Quetta Gladiators in a six-run loss. The Englishman, who scored just four runs in the game before, was at fault for not making the most out of the good start.

His continuing opening partner Sharjeel Khan was out for a duck after a decent showing of 34 runs in the last game. The same was true for Haider Ali, who was out for naught as well after scoring 59 against Islamabad United.

Skipper Imad Wasim’s bat has also gone silent after scoring 80 not out in the opening game as he disappointed by just 5 following a duck against Islamabad. Matthew Wade, who was dropped to the middle order after scoring 23 as an opener, disappointed 19-ball 15.

Shoaib Malik is the only one to show some consistency as he scored second half-century in three games. Irfan Khan showed improvement with a 37-run knock after scoring 19 an innings ago.

Wasim did a good job with the ball as he picked three wickets for 16 after delivering a 1/19 a game ago.

Aamer Yamin, who replaced Musa Khan, made the most out of the opportunity handed to him with three wickets but leaked 37 runs in his four overs. A match ago, Musa picked two wickets but proved too costly with 48 runs.

Andrew Tye had an even worse outing as he gave away 55 runs, with Martin Guptill taking him for 30 runs in an over to reach his century.

Lahore Qalandars injury update, key players

Shaheen Afridi’s Lahore Qalandars have no injuries reported but will continue to be without Rashid Khan (Sam Billings filling in for him as replacement) till February 20. The team has done far so without him as they look to gain momentum from their first win of the season against Karachi Kings. Fakhar Zaman starred in that game with the bat as the opener scored a 42-ball 66. Mirza Tahir Baig provided fireworks at the beginning with a 26-ball 32.

Shai Hope contributed a 17-ball 19 while Sikandar Raza delivered a 14-ball 19 in the slog overs. All-rounder Hussain Talat did the job of finisher well too with a cameo of 12-ball 20.

Among bowlers, Shaheen Afridi bowled 1/27 in four overs as Lahore showed a collective bowling effort with four different wicket-takers. Haris Rauf and Zaman Khan picked a wicket each but failed to contain runs.

Zaman was also the star of the show as he defended 15 runs off the last over to seal the win for Lahore.
