Karan Johar, on Tuesday, revealed if Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in his film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh. The director, who is excited about his directorial comeback, went live on Instagram and interacted with his fans.
When one of the social media users asked him about Shah Rukh Khan’s cameo in his film just like Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, the director said that the superstar is not in his movie. “No, he is not (in the film) but his love and blessings are always with me. He is family to me and he was the first person to put out the first unit of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,” he replied.
Earlier, when the movie’s teaser was released, Shah Rukh Khan heaped praise on Karan Johar’s film and said, “Wow @karanjohar 25 years as a filmmaker. You’ve come a long way baby!! Your father and my friend Tom’s uncle must be seeing this from heaven and feeling extremely happy and proud. Have always told you to make more and more films because we need the ethereal magic of love being brought to life… like only u can do. #RockyAurRaniKiiPremKahaani teaser is looking beautiful. Love you and best wishes to the cast and crew.”
Helmed by Karan Johar, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani features Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt along with Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, and Dharmendra in key roles. The movie is a romantic drama that is scheduled to release in theatres on July 28.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan will next be seen in Jawan which marks Tamil filmmaker Atlee Kumar’s Hindi film debut. It will also star Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi. Incidentally, the two actors are also making their debut in Bollywood with the film. It had been reported earlier this week that the trailer of the film will be attached with the theatrical prints of Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One, which releases on July 12. The formal launch of the trailer is expected around the same time. The film is scheduled for a September release.
